Lufthansa German Airlines today announced the launch of its winter sale, with fares reduced by as much as 22% to some of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe flying from Doha via Frankfurt, with bookings being taken from 19th September.
The festive holidays are now just around the corner and Doha passengers can look forward to a more affordable break with return fares starting from as little as QAR2400. While most discounts from other carriers exclude peak holidays, Lufthansa passengers can avail of the lower fares even for travel on the popular dates including Eid Al Adha, Christmas, New Year and Easter, but must be booked in advanced to secure seats.
The top travel destinations on offer include Budapest (QAR2400), Munich (QAR2830), London (QAR3040), Paris (QAR2670), Geneva (QAR2640), Barcelona and Madrid (QAR2650), and Copenhagen (QAR2660). Prices quoted are for Economy Class returns including all taxes and fees and must be booked via www.lufthansa.com. Travel period starts any date before March 31, 2013 with the return flights on or before June 30, 2013.
“Planning for holidays can be a daunting task especially when prices become prohibitive. We trust that with Lufthansa’s winter fares, our passengers will be able to afford the holiday they have been dreaming of. Flying with Lufthansa is also made more enjoyable with our product upgrades such as the new ergonomically-designed European cabin and FlyNet’, the most advanced onboard broadband internet hotspot worldwide,” said Randa El Massry, Lufthansa’s Sales Manager for Qatar.
Lufthansa is investing in retrofitting its entire fleet to offer more comfort and convenience to passengers. The new Business Class with a seat that converts to a two-metre lie-flat bed have been retrofitted in some of Lufthansa’s long-haul fleet providing more space and comfortable downtime during flights. Passengers flying via Frankfurt who are planning to go to North America or India can now experience the new “Queen of the Skies”, the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental.
Another investment of Lufthansa, well-received by passengers is the First Class product, launched in our Airbus A380 fleet in 2010. Lufthansa is gradually refurbishing the long haul fleet with the new First Class product. Currently, there are 10 Airbus long haul aircrafts that had been retrofitted with the new First Class while 18 of its Boeing B747-400 have been retrofitted with a First Class customized especially for this aircraft. On board the retrofitted Boeing B747-400, Lufthansa customers are able to enjoy not only an upgraded First Class seat but the comfort of a separate full-flat bed as well.
Lufthansa flies daily between Doha and Frankfurt. Via Frankfurt hub, passengers have access to Lufthansa’s global route flying to a total of 216 destinations, including 130 cities in Europe and 21 non-stop services to North America.
