QMA’s UK career fair micro site wins Pan Arab Web award

The Pan Arab Web Awards Academy has honored Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) career fair micro site with the Pan Arab Web Award for 2012.  The micro site was part of the “Be Amusing Campaign” created by the QMA’s Human Capital Division for the UK Career Fair that was held at the Grosvenor House – Marriot Hotel in London, on 24 and 25 February 2012 with the participating of several high-profile Qatari companies.

A prestigious ceremony and gala dinner were organized on Thursday 20 September 2012 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, to mark this occasion. Representatives from Qatar Museums Authority headed by Mr Rashid Al Mannai, Director of HR and Employees Relations attended the ceremony to collect the award.

Commenting on this event, Mr Al Mannai said: “Our aim is to recruit highly qualified young Qatari staff who will be able to assist in achieving QMA’s vision to become a global leader in the world of arts, culture and heritage. As QMA’s collection of world-class museums and institutions is growing, so does our constant need to recruit Qatari talents to meet the institutions’ standards.”

The objective of the 5th Career Fair for Qatari Students Studying in the United Kingdom which was sponsored by QMA was to attract Qatari students who are seeking career opportunities after graduation.

The micro site (http://careers.qma.org.qa) includes a section introducing visitors to Qatar Museums Authority and its active role in supporting talented and creative individuals. It also reviews the scholarship and internship opportunities that QMA offers and has a registration section where interested candidates can submit their application forms.
