75 InterContinental Hotel Group executives descend on Doha for sales blitz

This week, over 75 InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) sales colleagues from hotels across India, Middle East and Africa arrived in Doha for a major sales blitz, aiming to promote the company’s hotels as key destinations for business and leisure travellers from Qatar.

With the opening of two new hotels in Doha this year, Qatar is a fast growing market for IHG. InterContinental Doha The City opened in February, joining the well-established InterContinental Doha. This was followed closely by the opening of the first Crowne Plaza in the country, Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park, in August, bringing the total number of IHG hotels in the country to three.

Qatar is an important source market for many destinations across India, Middle East and Africa. During the sales blitz, the teams represented over 100 InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels across the region, meeting with travel trade, potential clients and key business partners across Doha, to drive business and develop new relationships.
