Under the patronage and in the attendance of Kahramaa President H.E. Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “Kahramaa” honored graduates of its scholarship program on Sunday 30 September 2012 at St. Regis Hotel – Doha.
Kahramaa honored 22 graduates from prestigious universities of UK, USA, Qatar Foundation, Qatar University, and CNAQ. They have studies different management and engineering specifications within the scholarship program Kahramaa initiated in 2007. Till now, there are 90 students in the program, 41 in under graduate studies, 8 in master, and 7 in Diploma.
Al-Kuwari said, “Kahramaa is committed to play a vital role in the development of the Qatari citizen to play an effective role in the economic life based on knowledge. Education, training, employment, and development opportunities Kahramaa provide is meant to allow the ambitious citizen to share in the development of his beloved country”.

Eng. Khamis Al-Mohannadi, Corporate Services Director and Human Resources Manager said, “we in Kahramaa are proud of our male and female interims who will start their career in Kahramaa. The corporation is committed to continue its support through various programs for the development of their career and incorporate in work environment.”
He added that we are proud to win the prize of Energy and Industry 2011 (training and development category) for the human cadre. It reflects the corporate development of corporate performance through the relentless efforts for the development of the human cadre. Kahramaa has achieved the optimal investment of human resources thanks to the clear vision and sound planning. The prize is an incentive for continuous improvement and quality performance qualify Kahramaa to be one of the leading corporations.
Al-Mohannadi expressed his gratitude to Human Resources Department for their relentless efforts for the development of the human cadres. It works for the development of employees to reach the highest quality standards as per Qatar National Vision 2030 and Qatar National Development Strategy 2011-2016.
Head of Qatarization, Training, And Development Section Ms. Aisha Al-Mutawaa said, “Kahramaa scholarship unit efficiently communicates with interims inside and outside Qatar through social communication networks from the beginning of the scholarship till graduation and joining Kahramaa. Recently it launched a twitter account Twitter Twitter:@KMScholarship. Kahramaa has a training program for fresh graduated engineers Graduate Engineer Training (GET) and another for management graduates Graduate Management Training (GMT). “there is an individual development plan for each employee.” She concluded.
It is worth to mention that Qatarization percentage in Kahramaa is about to hit 50%. HR works to increase this percentage in the coming years.
