Henley Business School announces its Qatar launch

Henley Business School announced last night the inauguration of its presence in Qatar at an event hosted by the British Embassy, Doha. Henley Business School will be offering executive education programmes in Qatar that allow professionals to build tailor-made courses and training solutions across a spectrum of disciplines.

In the presence of H.E. Michael O’Neill (pictured), Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar and guests from Qatar’s business and education communities, Henley Business School marked its launch in Qatar. The event also featured a presentation from Professor John Board, Dean of Henley Business School, on the crisis of global financial markets and whether Islamic Banking may offer solutions to the crisis.

A part of the University of Reading in the UK, the world-renowned Henley Business School was established more than 60 years ago to develop future leaders with the skills to inspire people and drive progress through excellence and high performance.  Henley Business School’s inaugural venture in Qatar will bring expertise in disciplines including leadership and management, strategy, coaching, HR excellence, knowledge management, international business, marketing and reputation, business informatics, real estate and international capital markets.

David Klewin, who leads the Henley Business School presence in Qatar, has been operating in the Middle East since 1982.  He brings a wealth of experience in understanding of local needs and values and essential regional industry knowledge. 

Commenting on the launch, Hugh Evans, Vice Dean – Executive Education, said: “Qatar represents an exciting market for us and we’re confident that our tailor-made programmes and solutions will allow executives inQatar to develop and optimise the performance of their businesses.”

He added: “Qatarpresents rapidly developing markets in a wide variety of business areas, and we are well-poised to help ensure that the growth experienced on a regional level is driven by companies with dynamic, high-performing leadership.”

Henley Business School is one of the few global business schools to hold triple accredited status (AMBDA, EQUIS and AACSB).
