Mutawa Office opened at the Cuban Hospital

As part of its endeavors to expand its experience of Mutawa offices to cover all its hospitals, and with the aim of reflecting Islam’s tolerance, civilization, deep-root the culture of patience and good heartedness Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) opened a new Mutawa office at the Cuban Hospital in Dukhan.

The event was attended by Mr. Phill Lween, the Executive Director of the Cuban Hospital; Mr. Mohamed Amer Al-Marri, the Assistant Executive Director; Mr. Jaber Al-Marri, Acting Administrative Supervisor; Ms. Khloud Al-Haithami; Administrative Supervisor; Ms. Nuha Abd-Al-Aziz; Secretary of the Assistant Executive Director as well as a host of the medical staff of the hospital and representatives from the Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs.

The Mutawa office provides services of religious incantation for patients, Islamic fatwa and jurisprudence consultations for patients and their families, in addition to providing Islamic education on the importance of maintaining good personal health and wellbeing. The office also participates in the public awareness campaigns frequently launched for the control of evil habits that negatively affect personal and public health, like smoking.

Representative of the Mutawa office are always present with dying patients while they are struggling agony of death, with the aim to dictate them to witness that there is no deity except Almighty Allah (the Islamic Shahada). The office also distributes educative materials that demonstrate the advantages of Islam to non Muslims.
