Qatar Sailing Open Championship kicks off

The Qatar’s International Sailing Open Championship 2012 organised by the Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation (QSRF) kicked off at the Doha Sailing Club on Tuesday. The event’s official competitions began at 9 am (Doha local time) amid the participation of  prominent sailors from different countries.

Young talented sailors represent Qatar in the event, including Waleed Al-Sharshani, Mohammed Al-Mohannadi, Faris Al-Bakri, Abdulaziz Al-Obaidely, Hassan Al-Baker, Omar Al-Jaber, Garissa Al-Muftah and others. The event brings together some 14 nations including, Bahrain, Czech Republic, Egypt, England, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Libya, New Zealand, Palestine, Tunisia, UAE and host Qatar.
