Qtel offers Double Credit for Hala Mobile Money customers

Qtel offers Double Credit for Hala Mobile Money customers

Qtel’s Hala Mobile Money customers can take advantage of an exclusive “Double Your Credit” promotion until 10 October. Mobile Money customers will receive 100 percent free credit when they top-up their Hala accounts with QR 50 or more – but only when they top-up with their mWallet or Mini Wallet.

“We are delighted to reward our new and current Hala Mobile Money customers with this offer, which provides great value,” said Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director of Public Relations, Qtel.

“Our Hala customers can get this great offer in three simple steps: first, register by dialling *140#. Second, deposit a minimum of QR50 using any Qtel Self Service Machines or at a Qtel Shop. Finally, top-up their Hala service with QR50 or more using the Mobile Money service on their mobile,” she explained.

The offer will run for seven days only, from 4-10 October 2012. Customers who top-up Hala via Mobile Money will not only get double credit, they will also enjoy the bonus free international call minutes and data allowance that comes with Hala top-ups during this time.

Customers who register for mWallet or Mini Wallet during the promotion’s time period are immediately eligible for the Double Credit promotion. Mini Wallet is the recently-launched simpler version of mWallet, which offers the same features as mWallet, but with a transaction limit of QR 2000, and which can be signed up for by dialling *140#.

Free credit can be used for local, international and roaming calls, messages (SMS and MMS), video and data. The free credit is valid for nearly six months, until 31 March 2013.

Mobile Money is perfect for customers who do not have bank accounts or who have limited banking services. The service is easy-to-use, quick, safe and convenient. Customers will no longer need to risk keeping cash on-hand, or wait in long queues at exchange houses.

Mobile Money customers can send money domestically or internationally 24/7 in only seconds, using the mWallet or Mini Wallet. Mobile Money customers can also buy Hala top-ups, pay Shahry bills, and top-up friends and family around the world. Customers can keep any amount of money in their mWallet, there is no minimum balance.

Qtel has already seen a strong response on customers sending money internationally to Pakistan, the Philippines and Nepal. Qtel will be adding more countries to the list in the coming months to offer more customers great value.
