Eid celebrations to set Doha alight

In partnership with leading cultural, heritage and art Qatari institutions, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) organizes a Four day packed entertainment programme for Eid Al Adha, incorporating countless different celebrations, starting from the first day of Eid Al-Adha. These festivities will take place throughout the different areas of Qatar.

Qatar Tourism Authority is keen to promote our diverse Qatar heritage and culture as well as the widest range of tourist attractions and activities that Qatar can offer. This underlines how Qatari society is distinguished today by its cultural diversity and a unique harmony of authentic traditions blended with contemporary lifestyles and tastes.

This year’s Eid Al-Adha celebrations will give everyone in Qatar a reason to enjoy the holiday given the multiplicity of entertainment activities, and the diverse ideal places which will host exciting and entertaining events. QTA will be collaborating with a number of leading cultural, heritage and art Qatari institutions to ignite the sense of festivity and celebration of Eid Al Adha.

The Eid Al Adha festivity initiative follows the great success of the Eid El Fitr celebration that saw an increase of 43% in the number of visitors. Hotel occupation had also increased to 55% between the 19th and 22nd of August.

The number of tourists coming from Oman and KSA has more than doubled compared to 2011 Eid Al El Fitr, in addition to a considerable rise in the number of visitors coming from Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and other global nationalities.
