Commercialbank sponsors the third Qatar International Businesswomen Forum

In support of the economic empowerment of women in the Arabworld, Commercialbank announced its sponsorship of the third Qatar International Businesswomen Forum taking place on 15 and 16 October, 2012, at the St. Regis Hotel in Doha, Qatar.

Commercialbank’s sponsorship highlights its support for the Qatar International Businesswomen Forum, and more specifically, the role of women in the development of economies of scales throughout the Arab world. The event will highlight the achievements of Qatari businesswomen and female entrepreneurs as well the achievements of businesswomen from around the world. The agenda for the event also includes discussions of broader business issues that are of particular interest to the Gulf countries and the Arab world at large.

Mrs. Aisha al-Fardan, Vice Chairwoman of the Qatari Businesswomen Association, thanked Commercial Bank for supporting the cause of women’s empowerment through this sponsorship. She added that “Following the launch of the Qatar International Businesswomen Forum in 2010, the main aim of this conference is to draw attention to the economic role that women play in society and to their business prowess, at the same time generating a wide recognition of women and their contribution to the Arab societies.”

Mr. Raed Chehaib, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Network explained that “The two days of the Forum will encompass eight exciting panels. A number of keynote speeches and workshops, have been organised,that cover major topics and issues of interest to Arab businesswomen and the International business community. Speakers and panellists include an impressive line up of high profile International  business leaders, including Heads of Women’s Associations from a number of countries, experts, representatives of international institutions, and many others  which will help the over 800 expected attendees, participate in interesting and valuable discussions.”
