al khaliji participates in QU sponsorship event

Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) QSC is participating in Qatar University’s first ‘Sponsorship and Internship Day’.

This four-day event will put current and potential students directly in touch with corporations that offer scholarships and sponsorships. The event began on the 15th and run until the 18th of October at the university’s College of Business and Economics.

“al khaliji is keen to support the human and educational development of Qataris as a means of fulfilling the pillars of Qatar’s National Vision 2020,” explained Hamad Al Kubaisi, al khaliji’s Group Head of Human Resources. “We are proud to have four students that we are sponsoring close to graduation. In addition, we have provided scholarships for six young men and women the 2012 – 2013 academic year.”

al khaliji offers a monthly allowance to Qataris entering Qatar University either as freshmen or in the foundation year. The allowance covers all their years at the university until graduation provided they maintain a certain grade point average and studying the following majors: management, marketing, finance, accounting, economics, information technology, law, software engineering, and statistics.

Upon completion of their studies, graduates are guaranteed a job with al khaliji.
