Computers are everywhere, changing every industry on the planet, but fewer than half of all schools teach computer science. Girls also tend to be underrepresented in computer science classes, and in the tech industry generally. Doha College hopes to change this, and last week every student from Year 1 to Year 13 joined in the largest learning event in history – the ‘Hour of Code’ – to celebrate Computer Science Education Week (December 5-11).
