Around 20 Indian companies participated in the 3rd edition of ‘Hospitality Qatar 2018’ exhibition organised by IFP Qatar from November 6 to 8 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

The exhibition witnessed participation from exporters, manufacturers and traders from food and food processing and packaging sector as well as the hospitality sector from over 15 countries including Qatar, Iran, Algeria, Turkey, Russia, Austria and India, said a release.

Mein Schiff 4 marked her maiden call at Doha Port carrying more than 2,522 passengers and 1,006 crew. Mein Schiff 4’s visit is the first of 10 calls scheduled for the 2018-2019 cruise season, which runs until May 2019.

Mwani Qatar in coordination with the concerned authorities provided all necessary facilities to passengers who arrived on board the ship, ensuring them easy and safe entry and exit to and from the port, so that they can start their tours in record time and within a short period of the ship’s anchoring on the quayside.

In a remarkable first class of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Doha, home hero Bassem Hassan Mohammed (QAT) and Julien Epaillard (FRA) matched the top time of the class finishing in 24.85 seconds. Bassem spoke after his joint win: “It's very nice to start the weekend with the win. I know Julien is fast and I saw him before I went in. I tried my best and ended up with the win."

The event, titled Careers Platform: Technology Edition, provided a venue for employers who hire for technical positions to share information about their firms, while meeting with potential recruits.

Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) welcomed Canada’s National Women’s Boxing team in preparation for the Women’s World Boxing Championship 2018, scheduled to begin on the 15th of November in New Delhi, India. The travelling party was comprised of six female fighters and coaches who have travelled to Doha to undertake a comprehensive training programme, with their sights set on a podium finish at the Championships.
