Sidra Medicine has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar University Health (QU Health) to offer clinical training and rotation programs for students from QU’s Colleges of Health Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy. The agreement is an extension of a MoU that was signed last year to support the education and training of QU students. Clinical training is a mandatory part of the curriculum required for graduation for QU students studying medicine, pharmacy, and health sciences.

The QE Index recorded an increase of 5.52% to the end of June 2018 to reach 9,024 points compared to 8,620 at the beginning of the year. As a result, Qatar Stock Exchange ranked second in terms of GCC market index performance, after Tadawul which increased by 15.51%. The Abu Dhabi Securities Market was third with 3.32% index rise, while the Kuwait Exchange recorded a decrease of 6.20% and the Dubai Financial Market witnessed the largest drop of 16.91%.

International Bank of Qatar (ibq) announced today its financial results for the six months to 30 June 2018. The Bank delivered a strong overall performance. First half-year net profit, excluding exceptional gains, was up 12 per cent compared to 2017, while Net Operating income grew 8 per cent.
