Google Cloud has joined the remote working initiative that was launched by the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) at end of March 2020, in cooperation with key players in Qatar’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. The CRA initiative is taking a set of measures and providing offers and packages for technology services to help people of Qatar to work remotely from home easily and securely during the precautionary measures taken to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced the completion of the roads and infrastructure works for Integrated Workers Complex (IWAC) in West Umm Slal (Bu Garn), and opening the roads to traffic. The main purpose of the project is to serve the needs of the workers accommodation and the logistic city in the area and to connect them with the existing road network. These facilities are expected to serve 31,000 workers.

First Finance Company, a subsidiary of Barwa Bank Group, has announced that it has postponed payment installments for registered small and medium sized enterprises (SME).  FFC’s decision to postpone finance installments and documentary credits dues of its SME customers without additional feeds or profits goes into effect starting March 16 2020 for a period of 6 months.  First Finance Company will liaison directly with registered SMEs wishing to defer installments.
