The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) Corporate Challenge will again be a part of the annual Ooredoo Ride of Champions scheduled to take place on March 13.

Participation has been widened to include the entire private sector, according to a press statement. “As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, Qatar Stock Exchange has continued to work with the Ooredoo Ride of Champions — growing the QSE Corporate Challenge in order to promote healthy living within the business community,” the statement notes.

The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) announced that two of its highly anticipated children’s playgrounds are set to open to the public on the 15th of February. The playgrounds, which will follow the museum’s opening hours, are specially created outdoor play areas, and are being launched as part of the second phase of NMoQ’s opening.

Ways of tackling a lack of affordable and adequate housing for families has been placed in the spotlight at the United Nations, through Doha International Family Institute’s annual Doha Briefing.

“Social protection poli­cies play an important role in addressing family wellbeing, as well as tackling the lack of adequate and affordable housing structures,” said Dr. Sharifa Noaman Al Emadi, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), speaking at United Nations Headquarters.

The Cabinet, in its meeting, approved the decision to form a committee charged with implementing a strategy on developing the real estate sector. 

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the Cabinet regular meeting which was held at the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, H E Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said that the Cabinet reviewed topics on its meeting’s agenda.
