The fifth edition of the Made in Qatar exhibition, which witnessed the participation of about 320 Qatari industrial companies and 140 productive families concluded.

Director General of Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the Organising Technical Committee of the expo Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi said that the exhibition was a remarkable success both in terms of the wide participation of the Qatari industrial companies, or the large attendance at the industrial forum accompanying the exhibition, which hosted discussions on various industrial issues and ways to promote the national industry, in addition to the attendance of 15,000 visitors.

Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani said that the exhibition allowed the Qatari companies to showcase their industries and products to local and international visitors. He noted that the exhibition also provided opportunities to discuss with business delegations and businessmen who visited it to explore the possibility of forging partnerships and alliances that contribute to the promotion of Qatari industry and bringing in more industries needed by the Qatari market, especially those depending on modern technology.

The Chairman stressed that the wide participation in the exhibition reflected the desire of the public and private sectors to develop the industrial sector and achieve the desired industrial growth. He noted that the Qatari industrial sector witnessed a remarkable development following the unjust siege imposed on the state. His Excellency explained that the existing factories expand their production lines in addition to the establishment of new factories, as the number of industrial licenses issued by the Ministry of Energy and Industry for investors since the beginning of the siege to date is 200 licenses.

Al Sharqi pointed out that the exhibition witnessed the signing of cooperation and partnership agreements between several national companies participating in the exhibition and others wishing to enter the Qatari market and benefit from the national industry available.
