Qatar Airways was pleased to welcome 48 new joining nationals to its Al Jossor Programme, supporting the wider Qatar Airways Group onboarding programme to enable new employees and developees to navigate their way easily and efficiently through the organisation.

Al Jossor is part of the Al Darb Qatarization Programme, an initiative by the airline that introduces fresh graduates to the world of aviation and enables them to develop skills to become the future leaders at the national carrier of the State of Qatar. Core modules in the Al Jossor programme include providing information about the aviation industry, understanding key Human Resources policies and exploring Qatar Airways’ operations via site tours.

At the induction that took place on 18 and 19 October at the Oryx Rotana Hotel, graduates were given an introduction to the programme as well as a brief about Qatar Airways and all of its departments and subsidiaries. The graduates met with their coaches and line managers to discuss the Graduate Developee Programme and understand their roles within this programme. Also present were the heads of the departments who were there to answer any questions that the graduates had.

As part of the induction, graduates were provided with transportation from the Oryx Rotana hotel to the hangar and given the opportunity to attend different workshops and meet the airline’s national engineers. During their time at the hangar, they had the opportunity to look closely at the aircraft and all of its different components.
