Qatar Aeronautical College and the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) yesterday signed an agreement endorsing the college as a regional centre for training in Asia in the field of meteorology.

The agreement was signed in Geneva by a Qatari delegation comprising Ahmed Abdullah Mohamed, director of meteorology at the General Authority for Civil Aviation, and Khaled al-Fahd al-Hajri, acting charge d’affaires of the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the UN Office and other International Organisations in Geneva, in the presence of Michel Jarraud, Secretary-General of the WMO, and other representatives of the organisation.
