Based on the presentations and relevant findings Al Fakhoora will subsequently assess how it can provide assistance to education projects in Gaza. This workshop is one of EAA’s proactive efforts to ensure that the recently received funds from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar (MOFA) from the Qatar Development Fund are allocated efficiently and in response to immediate and identified needs.

Commenting on the two-day Amman workshop, Farooq Burney, Director of Al Fakhoora, said: “This workshop has provided an opportunity to receive a comprehensive and updated overview of the recovery, reconstruction and psychosocial needs of the education sector in Gaza. Each UN agency has provided detailed information relevant to its specific area: development, children and refugees. This is important as it allows us to take strategic action working with our partners in the areas which are most in need, and we are grateful to the recent donation received from the Qatar Development Fund which will enable us to put many projects into action”.
