The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement amendments on the existing traffic diversion on Leabaib Roundabout (the Radar roundabout previously) near Woqod Petrol Station in Al Duhail area, as shown in the attached map. The diversion amendments will start on the evening of Wednesday, 23rd December 2015, and will last until Saturday, 2nd January 2015.

During this period, the traffic heading from Arab League Street southbound (from Jarayan Njaima Roundabout near the North Atlantic College) towards Leabaib Roundabout, will be diverted right to Al Tarfa Street. The traffic heading from Al Tarfa Street northbound towards Leabaib Roundabout will be diverted right to the signal-controlled junction on Arab League Street on the north side of Leabaib Roundabout. This diversion aims to allow for the completion of the required works to convert Leabaib Roundabout to a signal-controlled intersection. The works include connecting the entrances and exits of the new signal-controlled intersection with the existing roads in order to operate the intersection at the beginning of next month,as part of the project to develop the roads surrounding Al Duhail military camp.

Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
