The length of the new and improved roads extend to a total of 6.5 km and two lanes wide in each direction. Six traffic lights have been installed at the intersections surrounding the Multipurpose Hall which is expected to have a dense traffic movement around during the Handball World Championship. The new signals will improve traffic flow and safety in the area.

Permanent parking lots with a capacity of 4500 cars have been built on the north and west sides of Lusail Multipurpose Hall with work including grading (excavation and backfilling); laying paving; and drawing parking lot lines and installing of drainage pipes. Additionally, Ashghal has connected the roads surrounding Lusail Multipurpose Hall with Al Khor Coastal Road, increasing traffic flow and safety and providing a way to and from the Multipurpose Hall and the Sports Complex through the Temporary Truck Route that was completed and opened to traffic recently.Ashghal completes upgrading roads 3 [].jpg
