The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’, has announced  a temporary diversion on the Orbital Road southbound carriageway towards Mesaieed between Khuwaiteem Interchange and Sealine Interchange which will be implemented for a period of 3 days starting on Monday 12 November up until Thursday 15 November to enable the installation of gantries of the Orbital Road.

During the diversion, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users will be required to follow the below direction as shown in the attached map: Road users heading towards Mesaieed on the Orbital Road southbound carriageway will exit the Orbital at Khuwaiteem Interchange onto Mesaieed Road 1; continue straight on Mesaieed Road 1 until they reach Hamad Port Interchange. At Hamad Port Interchange they can exit onto Mesaieed Road and continue straight into Mesaieed.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit which remains at 80 kph along the Orbital Road and the proposed alternative route, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
