Qatar Airways (QA) is evaluating the benefits of the two-additional air-corridors that have been opened to Qatar Airways flights by the blockading countries including Bahrain and the UAE, the Group CEO of Qatar Airways Akbar al Baker said on Wednesday.

Responding to a query during a press conference in Doha, Baker said:"Out of the two additional air-corridors that have been opened to Qatar Airways by the blockading countries, one over Bahrain is very short and the other over the UAE is also of limited use since the traffic flow on this route is restricted." He added,"However, we are still evaluating the utility and operational benefit of the corridors as the routes were opened to us only two days ago. If it is beneficial for us to operate on these routes, we certainly will."

The new routes were offered to Qatar by the blockading countries after the intervention of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
