In an effort to reach out to all the residents of Qatar, Katara today announced it will host Stand-Up comedy Qatar (SUCQ) for a special night of laughs and giggles on Sunday, October 23rd.

The comedy night, featuring a coalition of four talented multi-ethnic comedians in Qatar, is open for the public and will be hosted at Katara Building 18 from 7:00-9:00pm. Tickets cost 20QAR and can be purchased at the door.

The comedy night presents South African Muslim comedian Halal Bilal, Qatar’s very own Abdulla Al-Ghanim, improvisation comedian Ousama Itani and Palestinian Issa El-Fahoum. Together, they connect with people and work to use humor to bridge gaps of bias and intolerance.

“Katara is dedicated to providing young talent in Qatar with a platform to express themselves and build cultural understanding. We’re very much looking forward to hosting SUCQ on Sunday and in the future,” said AbdulRahman Al Khulaifi, president of Katara.

SUCQ promotes stand-up comedy in the region by supporting and developing up-and-coming comedians and hosting regular events and tours. More information is available at and
