The Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech recently hosted its monthly networking event at the Hilton Doha.
This month’s event focused on creating a networking platform where startups can talk about the ideas, projects and requirements. The attendees benefitted from these start-ups who shared their experience and methods in promoting their business and products, developing and evolving their business and how they use social media platforms to support their business. The event was also an opportunity for the startups to meet new potential clients as they pitched their different ideas on stage in front of the audience.
On this occasion, Reem Al-Suwaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center said:” We always aim to support entrepreneurs and startups by organizing such monthly meetings. In today’s event we aim to provide a common platform that enables attendees to meet with entrepreneurs who have started their business and to benefit from their experience and learn about the creation of their projects and the best ways and methods to promote their business ventures.” “The objective of the event was to raise awareness on existing businesses and to create a culture where people can openly network and exchange ideas.
The event was also supported through the attendance of Shaikha Fatma Al Thani, a well-known Qatari Social Media Influencer who gave valuable feedback to the startups and their products. On this occasion she said:” At the onset allow me to thank Bedaya Center for providing such opportunity to meet the participating entrepreneurs and startups. These kind of events play an important role in opening the door for future entrepreneurs such as students, graduates and others who can take advantage of our experiences to shorten the time and effort they need to establish their businesses”.
