Annually Best Buddies Qatar, a special project of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, celebrates March with various activities for its members daily. It is an international occasion in 60 countries where Best Buddies International exercises its vision and mission.
This year is no exception with Best Buddies Qatar preparing various events for over 1,000 members of different ages from each of its programmes: College, High School, Secondary School, Citizen and Pen Pal. The organisation has prepared more than 32 workshops related to culture, art, theatre, sports, education, health improvement, cuisine and other fields of social interests. 
One of such events, a Yoga class followed by head and hands massage, was held at Six Senses & Spa in Sharq Village hotel on Wednesday in which 30 female Shafallah Center students participated. Earlier, 20 male students of Shafallah Center took part in the Yoga class.
Students and teachers from Shafallah Center and Best Buddies Qatar officials admired the activity of physical and mental relaxation exercise followed by massage and healthy lunch generously provided by Sharq Village hotel. Best Buddies Qatar, a non-profitable government organisation, aims to enhance life of people with intellectual challenges though social integration and long lasting one-to-one friendships of people with and without intellectual challenges. One of the main objectives of Best Buddies Qatar's programmes is to involve more governmental and private sector institutions to support the mission of ending up social isolation of people with intellectual challenges.

Six Senses & Spa is one of the partners who permanently support Best Buddies Qatar. Its director, Francisca Antunes said:"The most important idea is to let their parents notice the difference after their children's attendance of Yoga and massage sessions on regular basis." 
Meanwhile, more events are planned with support of Katara Cultural Village, universities at Qatar Foundation, Museum of Islamic Art, University College of London, Youth Creative Art Center, Al Rayyan Sports Club, Al Jazi Compound and others. In order to spread public awareness and to involve volunteers to support its mission, Best Buddies Qatar organises training workshops for teachers and students in schools and universities in the country.
