During the past week, Hyatt Plaza team transformed the Fashion Concourse area at the Hyatt Plaza shopping mall into a magnificent location especially for Mum’s on the occasion of Mother’s Day, where they were treated to endless makeovers, beauty tips and consultations, cooking tips and they also got to witness their children use their creativity in making their mothers a very own handmade gift.

The to-go destination for families in Qatar, Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall collaborated with many of its tenants and other well reputed partners to organize all the activities that took place at the mall from March 14 – March 21.

From March 14 – March 17, hundreds of mothers were pampered with complimentary makeovers & beauty tips by Pari Gallery’s very own beauty experts. From skincare advice to make-up application techniques, mothers had access to a variety of beauty tips and were able to try some of Pari Gallery’s most luxurious brands such as Shiseido, Sisley, Thierry Mugler & Make Up For Ever.

What else could touch a mother’s heart more than receiving a personalized gift from her child?  From March 18 to 19 children enjoyed the Arts and Crafts competition held in the Fashion Concourse area of the shopping mall where workshops were given to children teaching them how to make their mothers bracelets, paper flowers, cards and shopping bags under the supervision of the teachers and volunteers from Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities.

"We know families are very busy and these free workshops will give them an easy, convenient and inexpensive way to make Mother's Day special on any budget," said  Neha Baliyan, Executive Marketing and Project lead for Mother’s Day events, Hyatt Plaza. "We believe that a handmade gift would be valued, and moms especially treasure gifts made for them by their children," she added.

For the grand finale event of this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, mothers were lured with the cooking demonstration conducted by W Doha’s very own Executive - Chef Prakash Seetul. The chef taught mothers how to prepare quick treats and light snacks using Princess Appliances.

The demonstration was followed with a Cooking Competition where three winning families enjoyed being driven by a Limousine for a 5-star dinner in the Spice Market restaurant  at the W Doha Hotels & Residences.

"We're very happy to partner with Hyatt Plaza to turn Mother's Day into a fascinating and fun culinary experience. It was great to see everyone rolling up their sleeves to blend in and learn some of the top cooking tips straight from W Doha's award-winning eateries. At W Doha, events and happenings are part of our DNA particularly when it comes to food and beverage which we have rightly twisted to say Beverage & Food, highlighting the very high importance we place on providing tastes that are truly world-class and unique,” said Chef Seetul.

He added, “W has created unparalleled signature restaurants that have become instant destinations in themselves such as Spice Market and The Market. With menus that constantly evolve, these restaurants are always introducing new dining options, from fresh seasonal menus to food tastings to personalized green market tours with the chef."

It was the last day of fun as mothers and kids alike joined a very interactive Juice making Competition organized by Yaquby Stores and sponsored by Princess Home Appliance.  Mothers competed against each other as they squeezed out fresh fruits to prepare a juice in no more than 45 seconds. Various gifts from Princess Appliances were distributed among the winners.

Feroz Moideen, General Manager of Hyatt Plaza commented that “ This year, Hyatt Plaza initiated this event for  Mother’s Day as we recognize that mothers give so much love and support to their families and  it was fulfilling to watch these incredible moms take a break, relax and enjoy their shopping experience with their families at Hyatt Plaza. We are very grateful to our tenants and partners who helped us show our appreciation to all the mothers out here in Qatar”.

“We will continue to pamper our customers with more personalized service and activities created for the whole family throughout the year” he said.
