Qatar Airways held a special event – “Your Journey Begins” to commemorate new Qatari talented individuals that have joined the airline as scholarship students and employees. The event was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha on Monday, September 9, 2013.

Qatar Airways’ Nationalisation department hosted the event for 86 Qatari scholarship students who are about to embark on higher academic pursuits in Qatar, UK, New Zealand and the US. In addition 50 new Qatari hires to the company were also recognised. The annual event was attended by over 375 guests, including Qatar Airways management, scholarship students, new staff and families.

It is with great pride that we have these talented individuals among us making an important contribution to their country.”

“We are not only sponsoring Qataris to work at Qatar Airways, but we are also helping them build their career paths in the aviation industry,” said Mr. Al Baker. “This reflects our commitment to attract, develop, and more importantly, retain our highly qualified Qatari nationals.”
