Technical and medical staff from the Jordanian Football National Team visited Aspetar, the orthopaedicand sports medicine hospital, on Wednesday. This was as a part of their training camp in Qatar that is held in preparation for the next international football contest, titled: ‘AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019’ scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on his visit to Aspetar, Head Coach – Men’s Senior Jordanian National Team, Vital Borkelmans, said: “I’m very impressed by the world-class facilities at Aspetar - the tailored services on offer to all athletes is implemented in a focused manner and in accordance with the latest developments in the industry. As part of the team’s preparations for the Asian Tournament, Jordan will play a friendly match with Qatar’s national team on Sunday. In the Asian Cup, Jordan is placed in Group B alongside with the Asian giants: Australia and Syria. Palestine is the fourth team in the group."

“It’s a tough group, we will play two derby games against Syria and Palestine and a big game against Australia, we already played two big tests against Saudi Arabia. We will play friendly matches against Turkmenistan and China. I believe in the stamina of the team and I’m sure that we will perform at our highest level in the Asian Cup,” Vital Borkelmans concluded.
