Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has partnered with Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) to raise awareness of breast cancer during October to mark International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Under the partnership, Commercial Bank is displaying awareness adverts about PHCC’s National Breast and Bowel Screening Program on the Bank’s network of ATMs across Qatar. PHCC is supplying pink ribbons and bracelets for female Commercial Bank staff to raise awareness and show support for breast cancer survivors, patients and their family and friends. Commercial Bank Head of Marketing Communications and Branding, Marketing Communications, Mrs. Abeer M. AlKalla said: “We are proud to partner with PHCC and contribute towards raising awareness about their National Breast and Bowel Screening Program. This partnership reflects Commercial Bank’s strong community values, and commitment to employee welfare and good health in Qatar.”

Dr Shaikha Abu Shaikha, Cancer Program Manager at PHCC said: "The National Breast and Bowel Screening Program is a life-saving, population-based initiative that aims to promote education andawareness, and emphasize the importance ofearly detection of breast and bowel cancer in Qatar through screening. PHCC would like to thank Commercial Bank for supporting this program and making it reach a wider audience.”
