Today saw 128 male athletes from 32 countries take part in Men’s Qualifications, with Subdivisions 1-5 being completed under Aspire Dome, Doha.

Individual scorings saw the Russian Federation dominate, with Nikita Nagornyy closing out the day at the top of the All-Around table, with Artur Dalaloyan (RUS) in second and David Belyavskiy (RUS) in third. Due to Russia Federation’s strong performances, they set the bar high early in the morning during Subdivision 1, with no other federation able to beat their score in the four Subdivisions that followed.

Team Qatar gymnasts Ahmed Mosa and Ahmed Aldyani were also in action in Subdivision five, competing in all six apparatus. All-Around Mosa finished 59th with Aldyani 65th. Mosa’s best performance was in the Horizontal Bar with a score of 12.500, landing him 48th. Aldyani’s best result came from the Vault with a score of 13.066 and 78th. Today’s scores land the Team Qatar pair outside of the qualifying spots for the Men’s Finals.

Men’s Qualification continues tomorrow with a further five Subdivisions before qualification is determined.
