The 10th edition of Al Dana Green Run, Qatar’s biggest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event which is organized annually by Doha Bank, will kick off with a bang at Aspire Zone today (Saturday 29th November, 2014), covering a distance of 3 km around Khalifa Stadium.

A much-anticipated and widely attended community event, Al Dana Green Run is hosted by Doha Bank in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Public Security, the Traffic and Patrol Department, Qatar Red Crescent Society, and the Aspire Academy. Dr. R. Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank, said, “This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Al Dana Green Run and we have gone all out to make this edition a special one for participants, with as many as 10 race categories included in order to make sure that everyone gets a chance to participate, irrespective of age, gender, social background or fitness level.”

“As always, safety is an important concern for Doha Bank in hosting our various community events, and we have worked closely with all our event partners to put in place rigorous safety measures to ensure the smooth running of the event and the safety of participants and onlookers,” he added. Al Dana Green Run is an annual event aimed at raising public awareness about environmental conservation and promoting the concept of green living. The event is supported by the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Qatar Association of Athletics Federation.
