Doha Bank recently hosted a quiz competition for its staff, representing teams from its various business and operational units. The competition had themed questions in the first round during which the teams answered questions on predetermined subjects including Qatar, Health and Fitness and Songs.

Teams had the chance to build on their points tally by bidding their existing points to go 'double or nothing' in the subsequent rounds, where the topics were pulled out of a hat. The mixed bag covered Movies, Sports, Food, Informational Technology, General Knowledge and Banking. The Bank's Group Finance team proved the most knowledgeable at the end of the competition finishing first overall, with the teams from, Bancassurance, Local Fund Transfers, Credit Cards and Operations rounding up the top 5 places.

Doha Bank Group CEO, Dr. R. Seetharaman congratulated the winners and said: "These activities are designed to build on Doha Bank's focus on being an intelligent and globally aware organization that is committed to Qatar's fundamental drive to being a knowledge-based society. Dr. Seetharaman thanked the participants as well as the Bank's HR department for their contributions. Doha Bank's Head of Human Resources, Mr. Abdul Rahman Ali A. Al Mohammed added: "Staff morale and camaraderie are also important to Doha Bank and the Human Resources department is always keen to help build a culture of positive and constructive competition. We hope to welcome more teams and participants next year."
