The Ministry of Environment has developed a device for measuring and recording speed of falcons in conjunction with Timing Ireland, an institution specializing in the development and manufacture of timing and speed measuring equipment.

Experts at the Ministry of Environment Mohamed Al-Jaidah and a number of specialists at the ministry met on Thursday with Ali Al-Hajri from the Organizing Committee of Qatar International Falcon Competition, to be organized by the State of Qatar in the coming winter. The meeting was attended as well as a number of technicians to get briefed on the developed device. After the meeting Al-Jaidah said he will test the device on the ground on a number of falcons to measure their speed.
