The third Fath Al Khair voyage will start on Friday with the dhow to leave for Kuwait from the cultural Village Katara via Oman following a traditional event titled 'Dasha'.

Equipped with 16 Qatari sailors, the Fath Al Khair vessel will be led by the Captain Mohamed Youssef al Sada. The dhow is scheduled to return to the State of Qatar during Qatar National Day celebrations. Meanwhile, Katara continued to receive a large number of visitors of different age groups to witness the entertaining activities and performances being held as part of the ongoing 7th Katara Traditional Dhow Festival on Thursday. Being held at Katara's beach, the activities especially attracted preparatory and secondary students, VIP dignitaries, international media representatives and regional visitors.

Qatari and expatriate artists could be found engaged in painting traditional maritime scenery from their imagination. Besides, many amateur and professional photographers from different art schools and of diverse nationalities were busy taking pictures of the activities in order to enter the photography contest. The event also included traditional performances by Omani and Qatari ensembles dressed in traditional attires. The maritime songs enthralled visitors transporting them to the era of pearl diving and fishing. Visitors also had the opportunity to know the maritime traditions of Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Turkey, India, Greece and Zanzibar.

It is worth mentioning that shuttle cruise service has been provided between Katara beach and the Pearl-Qatar.
