Beach volleyball players will star in the extravaganza to be organized inside Katara Amphitheatre from March 6 to March 10.

The amphitheatre, which has hosted world-renowned musicians and operas, will be the venue for the Katara Beach Volleyball Cup 2018. According to Katara, this is the first time in the region hat such a competition is being held inside an amphitheatre. Entry is free.

As Katara joins a list of some dazzling world-wide venues which has been hosting the FIVB World Tour, fourteen out of top 16 world-ranked pairs will be seen in action. Qatar will be represented by 3 teams in the Main Draw. The competition in Doha will see the participation of 56 teams from 28 different countries. The championship is the second of the 10 competition called FIVB 4stars organised during the 2018 season by the International Volleyball Federation worldwide. This is the only four-star event the FIVB has allotted in the Middle East. Katara Cultural Village Foundation and Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) had signed an agreement in February for hosting the event.
