Vodafone Qatar today launched the Vodafone 945, the first Android-powered Vodafone-branded smartphone in Qatar.

The competitively-priced Vodafone 945 is equipped with a Multi-Touch 3.2 inch TFT touch screen display with 240 x 400 pixel resolution.  The handset also contains an accelerometer sensor, which seamlessly auto-rotates the User Interface.  3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity ensures that customers are always connected, no matter where they are.  With 300mb of internal memory of expandable up to 32GB with microSD), there is ample room to store photos and videos taken using the 5 mp camera, with plenty of space left for audio files and other applications.

The Vodafone 945 is one of the lowest priced Android smartphones in the Qatari market and  customers  have access to the massive suite of applications available on the Android Market, which includes Facebook, Twitter, Windows Live Messenger,  the hugely popular ‘Angry Birds’ game and  the Al Jazeera  application,  which streams live newscasts straight to their phone.
