Ten members from the French Weightlifting National Team, including seven male and female athletes, two coaches and one physiotherapist, have begun a three-week training camp, which concludes on 16 August, at Doha’s renowned Aspire Zone as they prepare for the upcoming international tournaments.

Gaëlle Nayo Ketchanke, three-time silver medalist at the 2015, 2016 and 2018 European Championships with six record breaking results, Romain Imadouchene, who was ranked sixth at the 2017 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships, Anthony Coullet, bronze medalist at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, and Manon Lorentz, who won silver and bronze medals at the 2014 and 2018 European Championships respectively, are just a few of the world class athletes attending the training camp. Others in attendance include Anthony Coullet, Brandon Vautard, Redon Manushi, and Kaikilekofe. The team is accompanied by coaches Yann Morisseau and Samuel Suywens.

During their stay, the team will benefit from Aspire Zone’s world-class facilities and location and Doha’s warm climate which makes it an ideal training destination for national teams from around the world.
