The sixth international Future Concrete conference organised by Advanced Construction and Technology Services (ACTS), a leading consulting organisation in the field of construction materials and geotechnical engineering, kicks off on Tuesday (December 02) at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha, Qatar.

Co-sponsored by the American Concrete Institute (ACI), ASTM, and ASHGHAL, the Public Works Authority in the State of Qatar, the event will touch upon the latest in infrastructure and construction technologies and will revolve around structural health monitoring; innovative practices in repair, evaluation and protection of structures; concrete quality in fast track projects; and the intelligent use of construction materials in large-scale projects. This highly-anticipated annual event, regarded as the centerpiece capability-building activity for the industry players, is being held at a crucial time when Qatar’s construction industry value is forecast at approximately USD 32.3bn in FY14/15, representing a real value annual growth of 54%.
