The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics has released the 19th edition of (Qatar: Monthly Statistics) bulletin which includes a number of year-on-year social and economic changes, in addition to statistical data recorded in July 2015.

The bulletin statistics show that Qatar’s population reached 2,120 million in July, a rise of 10.4% compared to July 2014, when population attained 1,920 million. The bulletin also indicates that July’s social security beneficiaries accounted for 11,993 citizens attaining a decrease of 0.6% compared to last June, when the number of beneficiaries amounted to 12,069. Visitors to Qatar increased by 8.2% in July 2015 vis-à-vis the same of period of 2014. Visitors from GCC countries made up the highest proportion (42.8%) of total visitors.

The bulletin also highlights that the vehicles registered in July reached 7,729 compared to 9933 in last June, with a negative month-on-month change amounting to 22.2% compared to last June.

Traffic violations accounted for 114,046 in July 2015, with a negative month-on-month change amounting to 9.8% compared to last June. The total broad money supply (M2) reached 519 billion riyals during the month of July 2015, with year-on-year growth rise of 8.7%. While cash equivalents; includes deposits, decreased by3.1 % to reach 624 billion riyals, with year-on-year growth rise of 8.9%. It is noteworthy that (Qatar: Monthly Statistics) bulletin is released on a monthly basis to identify the developments and changes that occur in the social and economic aspects in Qatar.
