According to Shafi, 13 companies are engaged in the tyre recycling business."In the past two and a half years, we are able to recycle 2.5 million tyres. We are looking forward to have more companies to take advantage of the liberal tyre recycling policies. Areas have been designated for companies to start tyre recycling projects and land rented out at competitive rates to encourage new companies to come forward to set up recycling plants," he said.
