100+ Green Companies descend on Doha Exhibition Center

Visitors to the 1st Green Building Solutions (GBS) Conference & Exhibition Doha 2011 taking place from 2nd to 4th March will be spoilt for choice when it comes to discovering the latest sustainable building products and services, with news that all 5,000 m2 exhibition space has now been entirely sold out.

GBS 2011 Exhibition Organizer Qatar Expo reports unbelievable interest from local and international construction companies eager to demonstrate their commitment to realize Qatar’s vision of creating a better, greener living environment. More than 100 exhibitors are now confirmed for the 3-day GBS 2011 Exhibition starting on Wednesday 2 March.

On schedule to attract 500 top-notch local and international delegates, the GBS 2011 Conference will focus on green issues concerning the Gulf construction industry, with an emphasis on green building technologies and green building designs.

The GBS 2011 Exhibition hosts a special Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS) Master Class Workshop on Friday 4th March. Developed by the Barwa and Qatari Diar Research Institute as the first performance-based sustainability system designed specifically to meet the unique needs of the Gulf climate, the QSAS Master Class gives architects, engineers, contractors, developers and consultants the knowledge about how green construction practices are implemented in Qatar.
