Local manufacturers, Halul Boats announced that all six of their boats on display during Qatar International Boat Show 2014 at Lusail Marina have been sold, making their participation are resounding commercial success.

Of the six boats on display, three were launched at QIBS 2014, the Halul 38, which features a cabin and two Halul 40s, one with a cabin and the other with a cabin and a room. Halul Boats are designed and manufactured in Qatar and can take between 4-8 weeks for completion. The cabins and decks are made using sandwich technology with foam covered by fiberglass to ensure they are lightweight yet strong. The boats are made of fiberglass and vinyl ester resin which protect the laminates from corrosion and they have 2 to 3 outboard engines. They are popular leisure and fishing boats and also used by the Coast Guard. The accessories are of European standards with upholstery made in France. The satellite navigation system and LED lighting is from Hella Marine from Germany.

Halul Boats sells all six boats 2 [].jpgHalul Boats typically range from 28 feet to 40 feet, and plans are underfoot to manufacture 46 feet and 50 feet boats in 2015. Their manufacturing capability currently is to produce between forty to sixty boats per year. Salah Al Khazraiji, Manager of Halul Boats said, “QIBS is a great platform to showcase local manufacturing capability in Qatar. Qatar International Boat Show was held at Lusail Marina from 11-15 November 2014. Over 90 local and international exhibitors participated with 75 boats on display over 25,000 square metres of land and water basin. The event drew large crowds of serious buyers and boating enthusiasts alike and is fast becoming a firm fixture on the international yachting circuit.
