Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, along with partners, will host students and their parents at the second Discover Education City event, scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th. Discover Education City, a recruitment event for higher education institutions across Education City, provides participants with insight into the academic offering of HBKU’s partner universities, while informing them about admissions processes and standardized testing procedures. Earlier this year, the recruitment event attracted approximately 1,800 participants.

Representatives from universities across Education City will be available to meet with students and parents and respond to any questions or concerns. Discover Education City will be attended by HBKU, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Texas A&M University at Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, and Northwestern University in Qatar. So to offer students a wide range of perspectives, representatives of the Academic Bridge Program, QatarDebate, Qatar Career Fair, Reach Out To Asia, Bedaya Center, the British Council, and the Higher Education institute will also attend the event.

It is a chance for them to start thinking about their futures; what they want to pursue at university, and what they need to do in order to get there.”
