The Ministry of Defence’s Directorate of Defence Communication has announced the graduation of commandos, involved in training courses No 54 and 55, of the special forces in the presence of Brigadier General Hamad bin Abdullah al-Fetais al-Marri, Commander of the Joint Special Forces.

The two training courses started on January 4 and lasted for eight weeks, and saw the participation of 210 personnel from the Joint Special Forces, the official Qatar News Agency reported yesterday.

The training included aerobics, running, getting used to lack of sleep, bearing cold and heat, etc, in addition to other issues that help commandos be prepared for all circumstances in the battlefield. Captain Hamad Kaman al-Hajri, Commander of the commando training No 55, said the training is one of the most important tools for Joint Special Forces personnel as they learn how to deal with different kinds of psychological and physical conditions. He noted that all trainees successfully completed the theoretical and practical components.
