The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has asked all companies to shift their workers living in unsuitable labour camps located in farms by the end of June.

The Ministry said yesterday that it will force companies to transfer workers living in places which do not meet the required standards for labour accommodations. Companies must either meet the standards or find a new accommodation for the workers in the Labour City or they can rent through Waseef and Barwa companies before the end of June, said a statement yesterday. Farms have been warned against violating the provision of law No 15/2010 regulating labour accommodation in family residential areas and provision of law No 10/1987 on public and private properties and use of farms for purposes they are designated for.
