Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed globally in October, as an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. The campaign’s mission is to help those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.

Le Mirage Real Estate, Qatar’s leading real estate development and property management company, organized a seminar as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative conducted by ‘Screen For Life’, Qatar’s National Breast and Bowel Cancer Screening program led by Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC).

During this seminar, the ‘Screen for Life’ team presented a lecture about breast cancer symptoms, stages and prevention methods, in addition to hosting the screening mobile unit at the Le Mirage Icon to offer free Mammogram screening, which is the early detection test every woman between 45-69 should have once every 3 years. The event was attended by ladies from all Le Mirage Real Estate properties including Le Mirage Icon, Le Mirage Executive Apartments, Le Mirage Village, Le Mirage Residence, Le Mirage Elite etc.

Mr. Amer Fares, CEO of Sharaka Holdings, the parent company of Le Mirage Real Estate, said: “We are pleased to host this seminar  with ‘Screen for Life’ and to increase awareness about Breast Cancer. It also highlights the excellent health  services available in the State of Qatar, emphasizing the important role society plays in providing social and financial  support to cancer patients.” Le Mirage Real Estate affirms its commitment to the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility through its proactive stance and contributes to supporting the community through initiatives and campaigns which make a positive impact to the development of society and its welfare.

‘Screen For Life’, Qatar’s National Breast and Bowel Cancer Screening program, is leading the mission to help build a healthier, happier population through its ongoing, wide-ranging awareness drive and outreach program. ‘Screen For Life’, led by PHCC, has launched a nationwide awareness campaign across the State to mark the global annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative, titled ‘Your health is Precious, Get Screened’, to urge women to undergo a free mammogram at one of the program’s screening suites, Leabaib, Rawdat Al Khail Health Centers and the mobile screening unit.
