In Qatar, MAN Truck & Bus saw a strong performance increasing their sales figures by 50% in 2014 compared to the previous year. The positive sales performance comes on the back of a stronger brand perception and steady growth for the transport and construction sector and demonstrates the strong growth momentum for MAN moving into 2015.

Iyad Jaradat, General Manager of Qatar International Automobiles, the exclusive MAN distributor in Qatar stated: “The highly competitive products and price winning aftersales services were the keys to our success in 2014. The strong increase indicates that QIA is always ready with the right offers and packages to react to the market needs and demands to secure the majority of orders and to maintain the market leadership. With orders delivered and scheduled for delivery within the 2nd quarter of 2015, QIA today can proudly say we are expecting 20% increase in the number of units to deliver to our customers compared to 2014. We hope the announcement of the national budget in April 2015, and the projects announced within the budget will launch another wave of demand for MAN trucks.”

Franz von Redwitz, the new Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus Middle East who took over the leadership of the regional headquarter in Dubai beginning of March was delighted with the performance of MAN in 2014 and said: “We have witnessed steady growth in the Middle East region in 2014 and see that in markets where MAN holds the market leadership, we were able to stabilize and even increase this position. In other markets, we have increased our share tremendously to become market leaders in 2014. We are therefore very satisfied with the performance in 2014 and are looking forward to a very promising 2015 in which we can already see an increase in order intake of 19%. With a full order book, this sets up a good platform for us and we will continue to provide our customers with our innovative and diverse product range and the excellent support from our valued distributors to be their preferred partner of choice in 2015.”
