The follow-up committee of the National Committee for Traffic Safety, chaired by Undersecretary for Ministry of Education and Higher Education H E Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, met here yesterday with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) as part of a series of meetings it is holding with the designated authorities to follow up on the implementation of the National Road Safety Strategy.

They recommended a review for the location of street signs, in order to facilitate the process of guiding those driving through or walking on those streets. They also stressed the importance of beginning the implementation of the traffic plans related to the World Cup 2022, such as closing Al Corniche, as well as encouraging people to use public transport during the world cup, in addition to relying on smart traffic lights to control the flow of fans during matches.
