The Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi has participated in the 16th Meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held in Riyadh from February 11 to 12.

The meeting reviewed a number of topics, including the vision of the State of Qatar on the GCC university/community partnership and how to better invest in outstanding education-related projects. The ministers also discussed the adoption of equal standards for the admission of the GCC students to the different universities and higher education institutes across the Gulf. The officials preliminary agreed to extend the scope of admission without setting a fixed ratio.
